Neil Danilowicz’s wife Yinan and daughter Allison joined Neil on Wednesday from Connecticut. Eileen offered to take Yinan and Allison to the old city on Thursday, so the morning was mostly a repeat of Monday morning — New Town Hall, Old Town Hall, St. Peter (and yes the tower climb), the market, etc. After watching the Glockenspiel, we went back to the market and bought and ate sausage and sauerkraut.
Interesting tower in the New City Hall courtyard
White asparagus very big here right now

After walking around, we stopped for lunch in the Viktualienmarkt. We bought a sausage and sauerkraut plate and a pretzel at a stand. Allison wanted to head back to the hotel, so off we went.
At the hotel, Larry ate lunch and had 2 hours before the closing, so we headed back to the English Garden, first stop the Chinese Tower, and then north all the way back to the hotel.

For dinner, Roman P, Neil and family, and we ate at QYU, a small but really cool Japanese-Vietnamese fusion restaurant, a short walk from the hotel, but a little hard to find, winding our way with Google maps. Larry had a tofu dish, Eileen crunchy salmon and avocado roll. The presentation was spectacular, with water being poured into the sake/flower holders pitchers which had been seeded with dry ice. The food was excellent. We ended up paying in cash, scrounging between us, because the restaurant only took European debit cards.
Crunchy Salmon.
